Gabon

Gabon is a country blessed with abundant natural resources and an incredible natural environment. Indeed, Gabon has a long history of crude oil and gas production, accompanied with manganese mines (2nd producer in the world) and very large wood exploitations. The country has become an expert and a model in the sustainable co-existence of large industries in the middle of a pristine environment. As an example, all wood exploitation is conducted under a strict program of reforestation that replaces trees as fast as they are being exploited. The country is made of 90% of forest and rivers and lakes and displays a much varied wildlife, the most famous being the Assala elephants and the Gabonese gorillas. We leave to your appreciation in the pictures that follow of this successful and peaceful coexistence.
